This policy explains what Course ([legal business name]) collects when you use the site, and why.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, and a one-way hash of your password (we never store the password itself).
- Payments — the course, amount, the UPI reference number you submit and, if you give it, your UPI ID. We do not receive your bank or card details.
- Learning activity — enrollments, lessons completed, where you left off, and notes you write.
- Security logs — your IP address and the time of sign-ins, failed sign-ins and account changes, to detect abuse.
Why we use it
- To run your account and give you access to the courses you bought.
- To verify payments and issue certificates.
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud.
- To reply when you contact us.
We don't sell your data and we don't use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- Our hosting provider stores the site and database.
- YouTube / Vimeo serve lesson videos. We embed them in privacy-enhanced mode, but those services receive your IP address when a video loads.
- Google Fonts serves the site's typeface.
Certificates
A certificate's verification page shows your name, the course and the completion date to anyone who has the link.
How long we keep it
Account and learning data is kept while your account exists. Payment records are kept for [period] for tax and accounting purposes. Security logs are kept for [period].
Your rights
You can update your details from your Account page, and ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing us.
